Based in the heart of Snowdonia, Nick Livesey is a respected mountain photographer. His love for photography began as a hill walker and climber, using a compact camera to record his adventures. He soon found recognition for his images at the UKClimbing.com galleries and in 2012 he won the Winter Walking and Scrambling categories, and came third overall, in the UKC/UKH Mountain Photography Awards.
In the same year he had three images shortlisted
in the Landscape Photographer of the Year (LPOTY) competition, one of which was commended and was included in the book, Landscape Photographer of the Year: Collection 6.
Since then, Nick’s work has been featured in The Great Outdoors, ON Landscape, Outdoor Photography, UKHillwalking.com, Trek and Mountain and the BMC’s Summit magazine as well as being a regular contributor to the routes section of TRAIL magazine.
Nick is the author of 'Photographing the Snowdonia Mountains' a photo location and hill walking guide book published by fotoVUE
His work is exhibited in the Soul of Snowdonia Gallery hosted by the Moel Siabod Cafe in Capel Curig where you can buy framed prints, calendars and greetings cards of Nick’s photography.
As a qualified mountain leader and outdoor first aider Nick offers mountain photography workshops, hill-skills courses for landscape photographers and photo-guiding throughout Snowdonia National Park.
